Across Cuba, families face severe shortages of basic food staples. Frequent blackouts make it worse: without reliable electricity, food often spoils before it can be eaten or shared.
Local organizations keep feeding their neighbors. They run community kitchens and meal programs for the people most at risk: older adults, children without caregivers and people with disabilities. One Shared Future | Un Futuro Compartido buys food for these partners, based on what they tell us they need most.
